Job description
Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for an Income Officer on a 6-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a part-time (21hours p/w) basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing current rent accounts, attended court for rent arrears and also have access to their own vehicle.
THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION WITH 2 DAYS HOME WORKING.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a patch of 300-400 properties across the Surrey region
Taking payments over the phone
Monitoring tenants rent accounts and chase tenants rent arrears
Attending evictions alongside the bailiffs
Representing the organisation in court
Serving NOSPs and NTQs
Setting up payment plans
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good organisational and time management skills
A thourough knowledge of tenancy management and rent arreas recovery
Awareness of and ability to comply with health and safety legislation
Experience asissting with clients with complex needs
Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to changing demands, while meeting deadlines
