Job description

We are currently partnering with a Social Housing provider based in Birmingham, who are recruiting for a Housing Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team on a fixed-term contract basis for 12-months.

This is a full-time position with a salary band of £45,000 to £48,615 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing a quality in-house service, primarily focused on housing management and tenancy enforcement matters particularly those involving anti-social behaviour and disrepair
  • Handling end to end case management of complex anti-social behaviour and tenancy management matters, defending and progressing claims and applications to their conclusion
  • Attending and representing the client at Court hearings, conducting own advocacy and preparing all documents and papers required
  • Preparing notices, pleadings and witness statements as required
  • Providing training to staff across the business in regards to legal and housing management issues

Experience Required:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer
  • PQE experience within housing law or civil litigation
