Job description

Our client, based in Bristol, is currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer on a 2-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years and ideally have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing an end-to-end tenancy management service within a supported housing setting

  • Monitoring and managing rent accounts, ensuring arrears are addressed in line with organisation procedures

  • Delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice to individuals to ensure income maximisation

  • Assisting vulnerable clients with general housing management issues, such as ASB queries, Tenancy management and Income support

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a co -produced planned programme of support

  • Assisting individuals to identify and access appropriate move on accommodation

  • Assessing the support needs and risks of individuals in line with the organisation Support Delivery and Risk Management procedures

  • Working in partnership with external agencies to facilitate the effective delivery of support and improve outcomes for those receiving services

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing

Working hours:

  • 36.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
