We are proud to be partnering with an award-winning homeless charity with numerous services across London, who are looking to appoint a Senior Practitioner on a 6-week temporary contract.

This will be a full-time position based in South-West London, paying £26.68 p/h via an Umbrella Company

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a team of Support Workers to deliver an effective outreach service to rough-sleepers.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Providing line management to 5 Support Workers

• Conducting monthly appraisals

• Ensuring that team members receive the training and support they require to effectively perform their duties

• Creating reports and presenting them to senior management

• Taking the lead on safeguarding for the service

• Recruiting team members where necessary

• Ensuring that services are ran within budget

Experience required:

• Experience managing staff

• Experience working with people who have experienced homelessness

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Previous experience managing a team in a social care setting

• Good organisational and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team

• Risk assessment and management

• Experience of supporting vulnerable people or groups
