We are currently working in partnership with a Charity based in London, who are recruiting for a Employment Support Worker on a 2-month contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is £22.74 p/h via an Umbrella Company

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years and have knowledge of social housing.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Providing employment support to around 20 clients who have previously experienced homelessness

• Encouraging clients to engage in training and support programmes

• Creating and amending support plans as necessary

• Providing welfare and benefit advice

• Assisting clients with writing their CVs

• Empowering clients to make positive decisions to improve their lives

• Instilling clients with the confidence to secure paid work

• Developing risk assessments

Experience required:

• Experience required in employment and skills

• Experience working with customers who have experienced homelessness

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Good organisational and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team

• Risk assessment and management

• Experience of supporting vulnerable people or groups
