Our client, based in London, is currently recruiting for a Support Worker (Tenancy Sustainment) on a 2-month temporary rolling contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £22.74 p/h via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients who have experienced homelessness, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years and have good knowledge of welfare and housing legislation.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing a caseload of around 25 clients who are living in the private rented sector

• Creating support plans and risk assessments

• Monitoring rent arrears and chasing residents who fall into them

• Creating move-on plans

• Providing advice on immigration status

• Attending evictions

Experience required:

• Experience required in private rented sector

• Experience working with client who have experienced homelessness

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Previous experience working with people who are homeless and have complex needs

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Good organisational and time management skills

• Awareness of and ability to comply with relevant health and safety legislation

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
