Job description

Our client, a Social Housing provider based in Oxfordshire, is currently recruiting for a Specialist Coach on a temporary 12 week to permanent contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis with the offering to work on a hybrid model. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in supported housing, have a full driving license with access to their own vehicle and hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working closely with a small group of young people (ages 16-25 years) living across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas

  • Provide tenancy sustainment advice to service users to ensure rent is up to date

  • Provide one to one support to vulnerable service users including those who may have previous substance abuse issues, care leavers, mental health issues and complex needs

  • Advising service users on their entitlement to welfare benefit entitlements and providing support with applications

  • Provide support and guidance with education and employment opportunities

  • Ensuring the safeguarding and health and safety of service users is of high importance at all times

  • Working with partners and other departments across the agency to ensure properties are ready for re-letting and signposting issues to relevant teams (e.g repairs or voids team)

  • Liaising with a specialist mother and baby coach when necessary to ensure the relevant support is provided to service users as required

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Previous experience working in supported living is essential for this role

  • Full driving license and access to own vehicle

  • Enhanced DBS certificate

  • 39 hours per week

  • Monday- Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
