Job description
We are currently partnering with a reputable Social Housing provider based in the Midlands, who are recruiting for a Senior Project Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £51,571 and the start date is subject to notice. The suitable candidate must either be MCIOB or MRIC’s or working towards.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Effectively plan and deliver Technical Building Surveying services, managing housing stock ensuring that value for money is delivered through all projects and to effectively target available resources and technologies to achieve the organisation’s performance indicators
- Delivering building and condition surveys, and project management services for the procurement and delivery of compliance related building alteration, potential demolition, refurbishments and capital work packages, ensuring all property related statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements are met
- Playing a pivotal role in the management of asset/capital project works acting as the client’s representative on building sites, ensuring a consistently high standard of quality control and supervision is maintained for each building project
- Assessing contract implementation in regard to building and health and safety legislation
Experience required:
- Excellent technical ability, with good knowledge of the appropriate quality standards, building regulations and planning requirements, specifically related to disrepair and FRA obligations
- Experience of inspecting properties and a good understanding of defects falling under relevant legislation such as, but not limited to, Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, the Environmental Protection Act 1990, and the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018
- Ability to recognise the importance of internal communication and using central systems to record information and case progression, act as a team player
- Must be proactive and tenacious in finding resolutions to complaints, defects and complex repair situations
