Job description

We are currently working in partnership with an ambitious and dynamic Social Housing provider, who are looking to appoint a Senior Programme Delivery Lead on a six month temporary contract.

This will be a full-time position based in the East Midlands, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and a day rate of £350 to £400 via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have must have experience working across development programmes within the social housing sector; a relevant housing, construction or building related professional qualification and hold a full UK Driving Licence.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing medium to higher risk land-led developments, and joint venture projects with values from £5M to £10M
  • Working as part of the Programme Delivery team, to deliver a well-managed commercially driven business development service, from execution of construction contract/development agreement to end of defects liability period
  • Ensuring projects on-site are delivered on-time and to budget, to support a return on investment
  • Maintaining site records and be responsible for plan generation when required, ensuring an effective records database is maintained
  • Managing projects and budgets in line with approved financial parameters, delivering good value for money at all times
  • Managing assigned budgets to deliver value for money in all aspects of development for the organization
  • Providing a comprehensive handover of new business projects to the New Markets team, to an auditable standard whilst ensuring projects are handed over remain viable and within approved finances
  • Working with the Development & Investment Director and Programme Delivery Manager to identify and secure new procurement opportunities
  • Acting as the initial point of contact for the Development & Investment team for general communications with current and future stakeholders
  • Instructing and liaising with solicitors, contractors, consultants and funders on a day-to-day operational basis
  • Completing monthly site inspections

Experience required:

  • Experience of overseeing and supervising a department/staff dealing with development programmes
  • Experience working within the social housing sector

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
