Job description
We are proud to be representing a growing Housing Association, based in Bedfordshire, who are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Voids Scheduler on a one-year fixed term contract.
The role is due to start as soon as possible. The hours are full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday with flexible working offered.
The salary for the role is £26,000 – £28,000 per annum dependent upon experience.
The ideal candidate will have used a scheduling system in a previous role and have scheduled repairs for trades.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing the main point of contact for all repairs and void works
Ensuring that all requested repairs and voids are completed to agreed time schedules and processes
Working with internal and external agencies to ensure all repair and void works are completed on time and within budget
Ensuring that all works are completed on the system and evidence by use of photographs
Working closely with the Surveyor/Maintenance Ops Manager to ensure quality of work, value of money and works are completed on time
Allocating appropriate works to sub-contractors in line with financial regulations
Requesting quotations if required for major external works
Providing guidance and advise to DLO on customers responsibilities, OT intervention and void works
Liaising with all relative departments providing regular updates on required and void works as required
Monitoring and providing guidance on timelines for completion of all works
Ensuring all work undertaken, is in accordance with Health and Safety legislation
Co-ordinating diaries of internal maintenance team in a timely manner; ensuring clarity of information
Responsible for updating the maintenance dashboard by completing and approving the invoices and workorders in a timely manner
Experience and qualifications required:
Educated to ‘O’ Level/GCSE standard in English and Mathematics or equivalent
NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work
Experience in repair and maintenance in residential properties
Experience of scheduling DLO trades and voids
Preparing processes e.g. repairs/voids
Good working knowledge of building construction, building regulations, other statutory authority regulations and health and safety legislation
Experience of working in a social housing environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
You will need to work under pressure, be a good organiser, multi skilled and have confidence in prioritising works
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday
Flexible working i.e. 8AM – 4PM/9AM – 5PM
Home working available to suite business and team needs
