Job description

We are proud to be partnering with an esteemed Housing Association based in the West Midlands, who seek to make a positive difference to homes, lives and communities around them. They are looking for a Leasehold Officer to join their team on a two-month temporary to permanent contract.

This will be a full-time position, offering two days working-from-home per week.

The hourly rate for this role is £22.87 via an Umbrella Company, eventually becoming an annual salary of £34,006.91 (plus an essential car user allowance).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Understanding and interpreting leases – providing advice and assistance to leaseholders as necessary

  • Facilitating processes for resales, staircasing, lease extensions, alterations and Section 20 consultations

  • Dealing with tenancy and leasehold management to a patch of properties – including handling ASB cases and safeguarding concerns

  • Monitoring former tenant rent arrears and credit and providing income management advice

  • Accurately monitoring records and keeping systems up to date at all times

  • Contributing to court possession proceedings – including rent arrears cases and evictions)

Experience required:

  • Level 3 Certificate in Housing is desirable

  • Provided tenancy management advice to a patch of properties

  • Experience working alongside Leaseholders to provide an attentive service

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Up-to-date knowledge on Housing Legislation

  • Accurate understanding of the resales process

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
