We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in South West London, who provide accommodation specifically to the BAME community. They are recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary three-month contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £26 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Housing Officer duties.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing a patch of 300 properties across the South West London and Croydon areas

• Managing the rent arrears process

• Dealing with low level ASB such as noise complaints and neighbour disputes

• Managing the introductory tenancy process

• Performing regular estate inspections

• Reporting repairs

• Arranging viewing of void properties

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing

• Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Good organizational and time management skills

• A thourough knowledge of lettings

• Awareness of and ability to comply with health and safety legislation

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Excellent computer literacy
