Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in East London, who are recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary six-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, the hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £26 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have used the Orchard system previously, have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, and have proven experience of Housing Officer duties including the management of ASB cases.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a patch of 300 properties across East London

  • Processing applications for sign-ups, mutual exchanges and successions

  • Dealing with medium to low level ASB

  • Increasing tenant satisfaction through consistently excellent customer service

  • Signposting customers to additional support providers

  • Performing regular estate inspections ensuring that shared areas are maintained to a high standard

Experience required:

  • Experience working at a Housing Association

  • Experience managing leasehold properties

  • Experience managing ASB cases

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Ability to manage your own diary

  • Compliance and due diligence

  • Stakeholder management
