Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based near Bristol, who are recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary 2-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go permanent. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £23 via an Umbrella Company.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing tenancy related advice, have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, conducted tenancy inspections, and have proven experience of other Housing Officer duties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Effectively managing temporary accommodation supplies, overseeing placements, rent payments and liability reduction through the housing debt management process
Ensuring the condition of temporary accommodations, conducting regular inspections, booking repairs and monitoring hygiene standards for permanent lettable state
Supporting leaseholder landlords to meet lease agreements for homeless household accommodations
Handling breaches in occupier agreements, issue warnings, NTQs and manage eviction processes
Providing references for departing households, addressing conduct, arrears and ASB issues
Experience required:
Knowledge required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Be able to give tenancy related advice
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and management
Financial management and budgeting
Compliance and due diligence
Tenancy compliance

37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
No weekends or evening
