Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a highly reputable organisation with operations across the South West, who are looking to appoint an Aids and Adaptations Surveyor on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based across the South West, offering hybrid working and a salary of £48,944.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant HNC/HNQ Qualifications, proven experience of building maintenance and up to date knowledge of relevant Aids and Adaptations policy and practices.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing line management and expertise to a team focusing on Alterations, Adaptations and Property Permissions across a designated area, including technical management of all required inspections
Undertaking pre and post inspections for property adaptations
Supporting customers in applying for local authority grant funding, and appointing suitable contractors, both internal and external
Ensuring the business maintains compliance with statutory functions
Investigating adaptation requests and managing the process with thought given to the lifecycle of the property
Producing and approving specifications of work
Project managing complex repairs, including producing technical reports and drawings
Calculating specifications and managing works against pre-agreed budgets
Approving DFG requests
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Up to date knowledge & understanding of the professional, policy, legal, practical & technical issues relevant to property alterations and adaptations
