Job description
We are currently partnering with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Kent, who are recruiting for a Building Surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client are specialists in Designing, Costing and Managing Construction projects over a wide variety of sectors and clients across the South-East of England.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of £40,000 to £75,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting with appointing external consultants, setting budget forecasts & reviewing staff performance
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities and output of the team reporting directly to the Partners of the practice
- Undertaking contract administration and Employer’s Agent duties for a variety of projects in different sectors
- Playing an active role in the delivery of project and professional services to a wide range of public and private sector clients
- Managing the successful growth and delivery of the Building Surveying team
Experience required:
- Relevant professional qualification (MRICS, MCIOB) or close to achieving this
- Preparation of tender documentation and contracts
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Good communication, management and team working skills
- Capable of working on their own initiative and to personally undertake and run projects
- Strong technical ability, commercial acuity, financially literate and comfortable controlling cost and risk

Working hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- 9am-5pm
