We are currently working with a Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Construction Consultancy that is recruiting for an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis in their Central London or Guildford office.  

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for this role is ranging from £30,000 - £50,000 depending on seniority.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a consultancy and have exposure working on social housing or commercial projects.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with all pre-contract and post contract surveying services on a range of construction projects

• Taking on Employer’s Agent services on Design and Build projects and assuming the principal EA role where possible

• Following the company Quality Management System in the delivery of all services

• Working on multiple projects simultaneously and developing excellent time management strategies

• Actively looking to take on additional responsibility and able to stand in for the Project QS or Senior QS when they are unavailable

Experience required:

• Experience within a multi-disciplinary consultancy

• Working towards chartership

• Suitable Commercial or Social Housing industry experience 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Knowledge of construction, building regulations, H&S, programme management & invoice reconciliation

• Adaptability/ flexibility in relation to approaching tasks

• Achievement of deadlines and the ability to managing their time effectively
