Job description
We are currently working with a Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Construction Consultancy that is recruiting for an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis in their Central London or Guildford office.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for this role is ranging from £30,000 - £50,000 depending on seniority.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a consultancy and have exposure working on social housing or commercial projects.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assisting with all pre-contract and post contract surveying services on a range of construction projects
Taking on Employer’s Agent services on Design and Build projects and assuming the principal EA role where possible
Following the company Quality Management System in the delivery of all services
Working on multiple projects simultaneously and developing excellent time management strategies
Actively looking to take on additional responsibility and able to stand in for the Project QS or Senior QS when they are unavailable
Experience required:
Experience within a multi-disciplinary consultancy
Working towards chartership
Suitable Commercial or Social Housing industry experience
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of construction, building regulations, H&S, programme management & invoice reconciliation
Adaptability/ flexibility in relation to approaching tasks
Achievement of deadlines and the ability to managing their time effectively
