Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a highly reputable Housing Association in Staffordshire, who are looking to appoint a Tenancy Sustainment Officer on a 4 month temporary contract.

This will be a full-time office and patch-based position, offering a pay rate of £17.45 per hour PAYE or £21.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within the social housing sector, hold an Enhanced DBS certificate within the last 3 years and have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Recognising tenancy related issues and managing targeted and specific interventions to sustain tenancies

  • Working with customers to promote positivity around independent living within the community

  • Engaging in a multi-agency approach to encourage positive and successful support to service users

  • Identifying and addressing any benefit related issues to maximise income

  • Liaising with colleagues to maintain and promote sustainability around reusing furniture and making grant applications when required

  • Encouraging and engaging in a multi-agency approach to supporting tenants and their families

Skills, knowledge and expertise required to be a Tenancy Sustainment Officer:

  • Previous experience working in social housing and tenancy support is essential for this role

  • Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 3 years

  • Full driving license and access to own vehicle

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
