Job description
We are currently partnering with a leading social housing provider based in East London, who are recruiting for a Surveying Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client is proud to manage over 10,000 homes and invest around £4m each year in community regeneration.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £54,684 to £57,726 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Lead a team of surveyors and contractors to deliver effective, resident focused, value for money building surveying services, including includes stock condition surveys, diagnostic inspections, complex casework, and resource allocation
- Work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensure that homes are safe, warm, dry and meet all requirements
- Represent the Surveying Team at Estate Boards, Committees, and forums
- Ensure that targets are met and that works are managed to time and budget
- Delivery of surveys to diagnose defects and determine required remedial action
- Ensure that surveying activities are compliant with statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements
Experience/Qualifications/knowledge required:
- Degree or HND in a relevant building related subject
- Professional certification (MRICS or MCIOB)
- Knowledge of building regulations and best practices
- Experience managing health and safety in a Surveying context
