Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a reputable Housing Association based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Supported Scheme Officer on a permanent basis. This position is offering a starting salary of £25,616.83 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with the over 55’s, have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Supported Scheme Officer duties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing the schemes, and to provide support to Customers to enable them to live independently with support, in a safe and secure environment
Assisting the Senior Supported Housing Officer to organise and deliver the customer Framework and required outcomes including working with various groups and providing support for meetings and events
Managing volunteers and acting as a link for customers with stator and voluntary organisations
Signing up new customers and assisting them in completing housing benefit and other welfare benefit forms
Visiting applicants and completing assessments and support plans
Providing a link with other support agencies, and acting as an advocate where necessary
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with the over 55 clientele
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and compliance checking
Knowledge of the tenancy process to advise tenants

28 days including bank holidays based on statutory provision of 5.6 weeks, holidays are accrued on a monthly basis
Approximately 2-day concessionary days
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm, 9:00am-4:30pm on Friday
