Role: IT License and Renewals Officer
Salary: £37,261-£40,478
Location: Oxford
Working Arrangements: Hybrid
Our client, a prestigious public sector organisation, is seeking an experienced IT License and Renewals Officer to join their innovative digital services team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to manage and optimise a substantial software portfolio worth over £4m annually.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex enterprise licensing arrangements, including the administration of a £1.5m Microsoft Enterprise Agreement
Maintain comprehensive records of IT supplier contracts within the corporate database
Interface directly with major software suppliers to negotiate optimal pricing and terms
Monitor software usage and compliance across the organisation
Provide strategic consultation on licensing requirements for new projects and initiatives
Develop and deliver critical cost-based IT reporting for senior management
Forecast IT application spend and manage renewal cycles
Collaborate with procurement and legal teams on major license acquisitions
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical IT environment
Proven track record in managing complex licensing procurements
Strong experience with IT contract administration
Demonstrated ability to analyse requirements and secure cost-effective licensing solutions
Excellent forecasting and reporting capabilities
Strong negotiation skills with proven supplier management experience
In-depth understanding of software licensing compliance
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Microsoft MEA procurements
Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud licensing and functionality
Strong analytical skills in budget management and procurement
