Job description
We are delighted to be representing a not-for-profit organisation, based in North London, who are looking to recruit a new Recovery Worker on a temporary basis over a three-month period! This will be a full-time position, with a competitive hourly rate based on previous experience.
The client is looking for an empathic individual with excellent communications skills and an understanding of the challenges facing people who are homeless.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out risk assessments and support plans
Referring clients to external agencies for additional support
Assisting clients with benefit's applications and booking them into support accommodation
Managing a caseload of 40-45 homeless clients who also suffer from complex needs
Signposting rough sleepers to outside organizations
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
Previous experience working with people who are homeless and have complex needs
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good organisational and time management skills
Awareness of and ability to comply with relevant health and safety legislation
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week
Mon-Fri – 09:00 to 17:00
