Job description

Our client, based in Brixton, is currently recruiting for a temporary Alcohol Recovery Worker on a 1 month rolling basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly pay rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults who suffer from substance misuse issues and will hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a caseload of 30 – 40 clients who suffer from alcohol abuse and substance misuse issues

  • Delivering structured 1-2-1 interventions to clients

  • Carrying out strengths-based assessments, identifying treatment needs and/or through-care requirements appropriate to the service

  • Liaising with families and carers during assessment, reviews, care plans and supporting through integrated key work

  • Identifying and assessing clients in relation to employability needs and referring on as appropriate

  • Implementing effective communication protocols and referral pathways with through-care and relevant community agencies

Experience required:

Experience required in social housing/ Community service

Experience being responsible for a large caseload

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week

Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
