We are currently representing a Sussex-based local authority and are seeking an experienced Senior Homeless Officer to join their Housing Options team until the end of March 2025. This is likely to be extended once budgets for the new financial year are released.

They are offering up to four days per week home-working (one day per week in the office) and are looking for someone to start ASAP.

Please note you must have management or supervisory experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with the day-to-day supervision of six Homeless Officers

• Carrying out case reviews

• Assisting with complex casework, ensuring that the Council meets it’s statutory obligations

• Carrying out 1-2-1s

• Helping to oversee the wider team when in the hub e.g. Triage Officers

• There is no requirement to carry out S202 reviews as this is all outsourced

Experience required:

• Managing/supervising Homeless Officers/Caseworkers

• Carrying out case reviews

Rewards and Benefits:

• Hybrid working – four days per week working from home (pick the one day you go into the office)

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week

• Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
