Job description
We are currently partnering with a regional Social Housing provider who are recruiting for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client is proud to provide over 40,000 homes across the South West with plans to invest 1bn into the South West economy and to build 5,000 new affordable homes over the next five years.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £48,700 - £54,000 and the start date is subject to notice.
This role will be covering the Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Devon areas.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Directly line managing a team of Condition Surveyors, focusing on a £1bn 30-year investment plan for carbon reduction
Completing surveys in line with Decent Homes Standards and HHSRS standards
Ensuring energy efficiency data is collected in line with PAS 2035
Take responsibility for the collection of property data, with a focus on energy data, to inform future energy reduction plans
Ensuring a programme of surveys is delivered on time and within allotted budgets
Acting as a technical point of contact for the wider asset team
Evaluate surveys to ensure quality targets are being met
Liaising with tenants to provide technical guidance and advice
Identifying trends to get ahead of any issues that may arise in properties
Carrying out 121s with surveyors
Requirements:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Experience in retrofit/decarbonisation projects
RICS/CIOB or equivalent
