Job description

We are currently partnering with a Housing Association based in Tower Hamlets, who are recruiting for a Repairs Advisor to join their team on a three-month temporary basis.

This is a full-time position with a rate of pay being £18 – £20 per hour via an umbrella company (dependent on experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

Due to the nature of the role, the candidate will have experience working within a social housing environment, be able to go into the office 5 days per week and have experience using the Orchard Housing System.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Repairs Team, helping to deliver a fast, efficient, value for money repair service

  • Update systems, databases and trackers, to ensure that data is accurate and timely

  • Work as a team to ensure that all properties are safe, warm, dry and comply with requirements

  • Undertake all aspects of repair administration with accuracy including: ˗

  • Issuing orders using the correct codes and job descriptions

  • Adding notes, delays, feedback, quality control information, variations, and events

  • Chasing outstanding and out of target repair orders

  • Completing and cancelling orders

Experience required:

  • Can understand and apply legislation, regulatory guidance and best practice

  • Has delivered excellent customer services in a highly pressurised environment

  • Has worked in a role with a similar level of responsibility

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to achieve demanding targets and standards

  • Intermediate IT skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Attention to detail

  • Shares knowledge and skills

  • Approachable and accessible

  • Engages in straight talking – clear and constructive

  • Ability to achieve deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
