We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in North Wales, who are looking to appoint a Refuge Domestic Abuse Support Worker on a permanent basis based in Bangor.

This will be a full-time position that has the potential to go permanent with a salary banding of £25,000 - £26,000.

The ideal candidate will have extensive support experience and have worked within a Domestic Abuse setting in the past. To complete this role, you must have an Enhanced DBS completed within the last 12 Months.

Candidates must be able to speak Welsh or be willing to learn as well as holding a full Driving license

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Dealing with 2 refuges across Bangor with 4 and 5 properties, respectively
• Working with a client base of Domestic Violence fleers who are all adult females or children aged 12 and below
• Helping tenants to claim for welfare and benefits as well as budgeting
• Liaising with external agencies like the police and Local Authorities
• Carrying out Support Plans and Risk Assessments
• Assisting with the search for long term accommodation for tenants

Experience required:

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals
• Experience working with customers who have been impacted by Domestic Abuse

Working hours:

• 35 hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
