Job description
We are currently partnering with a South Wales based Housing Association, who are recruiting for a Reactive Maintenance Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client is a small housing association, whose stock covers the length of the M4 corridor in South Wales, and are looking to take on a Surveyor to take full responsibility for their reactive maintenance and damp and mould surveying.
This is a full-time position with a £38,000 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out reactive maintenance and damp and mould surveys within domestic dwellings, largely within purpose built flats for elderly living
Identifying causes of damp and mould
Creating specifications for remedial works, and liaising with contractors to arrange
Ensuring all works fall in line with WHQS
Updating asset management databases with works that have been carried out, as well making a note of timelines for any cyclical maintenance
Compliance: Planning and coordinating works for EICRs, FRAs, Gas Safety checks and managing the asbestos and legionella register
Carrying out stock condition surveys as required
Experience required:
Experience in Social Housing
Experience dealing with tenants
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Damp and Mould knowledge
A strong understanding of property compliance
Rewards and Benefits:
25 days annual leave, rising to 30 based on length of service
Up to 8% pension contribution
3 days a week from home
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday
