Job description

We are currently partnering with a Local Government based in Northamptonshire, who are recruiting for a Planning Lawyer to join their team on a temporary basis whilst they recruit permanently.

They are offering this role on a full time and fully remote basis, with no committees or office attendance needed.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Helping the team with S106 caseload support, compulsory purchase and regeneration legal work, including high value major development and infrastructure projects, as well as any other ad hoc tasks
  • Providing high quality well researched legal advice and assistance to client departments within agreed timescales, in regards to planning and highways matters
  • Supporting the Principal Solicitor and other colleagues in ensuring that a professional, comprehensive legal service is provided to the Council, its Members and Officers

Experience required:

  • Must be a qualified solicitor
  • Recent work within a local government setting

  • 35 hours a week
