Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a local authority based in Oxfordshire, who are looking to appoint a locum Property Lawyer on an initial 6-month contract.

This will be a full-time position, and is offering an hourly rate of circa £50 per hour via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a local authority, and have experience across commercial and residential property.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Handling a varied caseload of property law matters, including both commercial and residential transactions
  • Advising on asset management, including licence to assign and licence to alter
  • Managing residential work surrounding right to buy and the purchase of housing stock
  • Dealing with lease extensions for residential property, and city centre leases for retail premises and restaurants
  • Undertaking infrastructure work, including advising on and drafting wayleave agreements
  • Advising the client in regards to varied Landlord & Tenant matters

Experience required:

  • Experience required within Local Government
  • Experience working across commercial and residential property

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
