Job description

​We are currently partnering with an industry leading London based housing association, who are recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position with a salary band of £53,000, to £67,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing mitigation strategies for immediate implementation of all matters relating to contract and subcontract for review by Managing Quantity Surveyor or Head of Commercial

  • Managing budgetary constraints using forensic cost control techniques

  • Taking control of the management of subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value to a programme whilst protecting the business contractually and providing accurate financial forecasting

  • Managing principal and subcontractor arrangements

  • Managing up to 3 direct reports

  • Experience required:

    • Experience required in Social Housing

    • Experience working with customers within housing

    • Budgetary control

    • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor

    Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

    • Strong analytical skills and will be highly numerate with data interrogation skills

    • Be confident in managing poor performance.

    • You will have a good understanding of Cost value reconciliation for a workstream

    • Commercial Awareness with good legal/contractual knowledge

    • Competent in use of standard methods of measurement

    • RICS or CIOB qualification desirable
