Job description

We are currently working with a multidiscipline practice of construction consultants who are looking for a Principal Designer/CDM Advisor to be based out of their Manchester office.

The role is a full-time office-based position, and is due to start on notice. The salary being offered is between £40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience.

Our client is looking for a candidate holding a recognised health and safety qualification and experience working in the construction sector.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting and advising clients in order to compile all necessary pre-construction information, and providing the information for the designers and contractors
  • Reviewing principal contractors’ construction phase plans
  • Completing site audits on newbuild housing and housing planned maintenance projects
  • Attending design meetings and progress meetings on site throughout all stages of build
  • Maintaining safety awareness at sites and keeping up with building regulations and design standards
  • Experience required:

    • Recognised health and safety qualification
    • Full UK driving license

    Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

    • Good eye for overall concepts and detail
    • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved introduction of precision technical plan, blueprints, drawings, and models

    Working hours:

    • 40 hours per week
    • Monday - Friday
    • 9am-5pm
