Job description

We are currently partnering with one of the UK’s most trusted social housing providersbased in Birmingham, who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer to join their passionate team on a temporary basis.

This will be a 3-month contract initially, working full-time hours. It offers hybrid working, and only requires office attendance one day per week - the rest can be spent on patch, or at home.

Ideally, the successful candidate for this role will have access to their own vehicle, and a Basic DBS dated within one year.

The pay rate for this position is £25.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Overseeing tenancy management and estate issues to a patch of 500 properties

  • Dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour from minor reports to serious cases, and actively being involved in multi - agency work to resolve any issues

  • Liaising with external agencies and signposting tenants accordingly

  • Carrying out regular block and estate inspections, and monitoring health and safety and safeguarding at all times

  • Reporting any repairs issues, and keeping tenants up to date with any progress

  • Involved in the management of new build properties for all tenancy management issues

  • Conducting tenancy reviews for all properties within the allocated patch

  • Reviewing service charges and depreciation when required

Experience required:

  • Conducting property inspections and monitoring health and safety

  • Understanding of relevant Housing legislation and tenancy agreements

  • Ability to develop successful and professional relationships with clients, and provide a tailored service

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Highly self-motivated, and able to prioritise tasks

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative

  • Passionate in making a difference in the lives of others

Working hours:

  • 37.00 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
