Job description

We are proud to be partnering with an award-winning rail organisation, who are looking to appoint a Decarbonisation & Energy Manager on a permanent.

This will be a full-time position based in either London or Birmingham, with hybrid working (maximum of 2 days home working) and a salary of £45,000.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable background and expertise in data collection, analysis and producing data reports.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering energy efficient and decarbonisation focussed business practices, reporting processes and strategies
  • Ensuring the organisation meet their strategic goals & targets with respect to decarbonisation, science-based targets, and traction and non-traction energy
  • Improving energy efficiency by evaluating energy use and putting in place new technologies, policies and changes where needed
  • Developing and delivering decarbonisation initiatives to reach net zero goals

    • Experience required:

    • Management experience
    • Demonstrable background in analysis of carbon use, energy and water impacts

    Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

    • Ability to work in in a pressurized environment to meet deadlines
    • Knowledge of carbon foot printing and emissions

    Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Mon - Fri
