Job description

Our Local Authority client based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Housing Lawyer on a locum basis for 3-months initially, with potential extension.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and the hourly rate is in the region of £45 p/hour UMB.

The ideal candidate will have Local Government experience and a strong background in Housing Law.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a mixed caseload of Housing Litigation with matters including homelessness possessions, ASB and general housing management
  • Supporting the City Solicitor and Legal team with regard to the conduct of legal casework
  • Attending Court hearing in the West Midlands on a weekly basis
  • Dealing with Judicial Review cases issued by individuals in relation to homelessness appeals

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
