Job description

Our client, based in Bristol, is currently recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker on a 3-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position. This is a brilliant opportunity to support individual with Complex Mental Health Needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Mental Health, hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years, have experience working within a similar service and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Creating and reviewing support plans in partnership with service users in line with policies and procedures

  • Liaising effectively with all agencies to build a multi-agency approach and support delivery of planned support

  • Building and sustaining safe and trusting relationships with service users

  • Supporting the Housing Team with queries regarding tenancy management/property related issues that may arise

  • Identifying, assessing and managing risks to ensure this is minimised for the service user

  • Regularly reviewing/discussing your caseload of service users with your line manager and managing caseload effectively

  • Promoting and facilitating service user involvement and inclusion within the organisation

  • Contributing to project work, development initiatives and implementation of policies and procedures

  • Attending and contributing effectively at all relevant meetings, case management meetings, supervisions, client solution spaces and reflections

Experience required:

  • Experience required in a Mental Health Service

  • Experience working with customers with complex needs

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessments, support and action plans

  • Customer Service

Rewards and Benefits:

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
