Job description

Our Local Authority client based in the North-West, is currently recruiting for a Licensing & Litigation Solicitor on a locum basis for up to 12-months.

The position offers part-time working for 2-3 days a week, is fully remote, and the hourly rate is in the region of £50 – 60 p/hour UMB.

The ideal candidate will have experience of assisting the wider team with general and civil litigation.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of Licensing and Civil Litigation procedures

  • Handling a licensing caseload from start to finish including Taxi Licences and Premises Licences (Licensing Act 2003) and advising licensing committees

  • Advising on aspects of law relevant to licensing, employment and/or litigation, including advising Elected Members of the Licensing Committee and Sub-Committee

Working hours:

  • 2-3 days a week
