Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based across the South West who are looking to appoint a Head of Procurement on a 12 month FTC.

This will be a full-time position which can be home based with travel required across the South West for meetings once a month, and offers a salary of £75,000 to £80,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience acting as a point of contact for senior leadership. Experience within Social Housing is not essential but highly desirable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading the operating framework for the Group’s procurement activities, underpinned by a robust forward plan and implementation of a long-term strategy for all business areas

  • Providing specialist support and advice on Procurement issues across the Group, enabling the needs of the business to be met while ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and practices

  • Overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance, of procurement systems and technology to support procurement operations

  • Working in partnership with and leading cross-functional teams comprising of group wide operational and management colleagues ensuring they’re fully equipped to deliver against operational targets

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing is desirable

  • A background in Construction/General Indirect Categories

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • MCIPS qualified is preferrable

Rewards and benefits:

  • Predominantly remote working

  • £75,000 - £80,000 per annum

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm
