Job description

Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Leasehold Officer on a 4-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The position requires attendance in the office ONLY ONCE A FORTNIGHT.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on leasehold properties, particularly including managing the section 20 process and responding to service charge queries.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing relationships with third party managing agents, leaseholder & shared-owners

  • Responsibility for resale packs (LPE1)/assignments & staircasing - and dealing with queries

  • Issuing landlord certificates and answering related queries

  • Responsibility for lease extension process and queries

  • Managing S20 process and responding to observations

  • Dealing with service charges queries

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing

  • Experience working with customers within housing

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • A thorough knowledge of tenancy management

  • Specific experience of Section 20 and service charge enquiries

  • Awareness of and ability to comply with health and safety legislation

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Excellent computer literacy

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
