Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association with operations across the South West of England, who are recruiting for a Disrepair Surveyor on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately and offers a salary of £48,065 per year.

The ideal candidate will have either an HNC/HND, have six years or more experience working within Social Housing surveying and be willing to travel across the Wiltshire and Hampshire area.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out damp and mould disrepair, identifying building defects and completing any further inspections to provide advice on remedial works required
  • Liaising directly with the DLO and overseeing contractors to ensure remedial works are in adherence with company standards
  • Acting as the on-site expert for the solicitors to rely on when in court through detailed and accurate property condition surveys
  • Assisting the maintenance surveyors with damp and mould surveys were faced with complexed properties and providing training when required
  • Experience required, qualifications and knowledge required:

    • Experience required in Social Housing
    • Six-years Surveying experience
    • HNC/HND or relevant qualification
