Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Bedfordshire, who are recruiting for a HR Partner, focusing on employee relations, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The position is due to start immediately, with a salary of up to £47,000 per annum and working from home up to 3 days per week.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Effectively coaching, developing and supporting managers to resolve all types and levels of ER cases whilst ensuring fairness, consistency and legal compliance – including leading on complex cases

  • Leading on the design and implementation of change management projects

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert and escalation point: Effectively applying depth and breadth of knowledge and experience. Evaluating risks and options and helps shape and inform approaches

  • Sharing ER knowledge and coaching others to increase knowledge/understanding

  • Building relationships with managers that mean they proactively come to you with issues allowing you to influence and manage appropriately and in a timely manner

  • Identifying, understanding and addressing business issues – will need to be a great communicator who cares about building relationships

  • Gaining feedback and understanding of customer experiences to support HR service improvements.

  • Supporting people planning processes, including succession planning and talent development and engaging with the Learning & Development Partner on training needs identification and solutions

Expertise required:

  • Several years demonstrable experience of dealing with the full spectrum of complex ER cases and comfortable being an escalation point as a subject matter expert

  • Experienced and confident working with HR systems and within defined processes

  • Solid generalist HR knowledge, including administration and end-to-end HR processes

  • Depth and breadth of experience in engaging and influencing managers at all levels and across multiple stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes

  • Depth and breadth of demonstrable experience of providing customer-centric HR partnering – both operational and strategic delivery & support

  • Demonstrable success of working in partnership to deliver and implement innovative people solutions that meet business needs, in a fast-paced environment

  • CIPD Qualified Level 5 minimum
