Job description

We are currently working in partnership with well-established charity based in Northamptonshire, who are recruiting for a HR Business Partner on a 12-month FTC basis. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go permanent in the new year. The salary range for this role is £40,000 - £45,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified and/or have significant experience working in HR, as well as have strong and up-to-date knowledge of HR legislation.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working in collaboration with the Head of HR to provide HR expertise and advice to managers and employees, and coach managers to support individual and team performance

  • Partnering with teams and managers to proactively identify opportunities to resolve people challenges and deliver innovative solutions

  • Providing professional and effective support and guidance on change management including redundancy, restructuring, TUPE, mergers etc.

  • Effectively managing employee relations matters including absence, capability, disciplinary, and grievance resolution, and escalate to the Head of HR where required

  • Supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive and accessible range of policies and procedures that are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and in line with the values of the Association

  • Working in collaboration with the Learning & Development team on matters including training, career development, talent management, and succession planning

  • Supporting with providing effective onboarding and induction processes

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience

  • Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusivity, and able to work collaboratively with the EDI Manager

  • Takes a coaching style approach with an ability to think creatively in a solutions focused way

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as facilitation and influencing skills

  • Good Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
