Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a national public transport provider, based in Birmingham, who are looking to appoint a HR Administrator on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position based in Birmingham, with 4 days in the office a week and one day from home, as well as a salary of £25,465.

The ideal candidate must have experience of providing effective and comprehensive HR administrative assistance to support HR procedures and processes.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Monitor end of probation and fixed term contracts alerting managers to ensure due process is followed and within required timescales.

  • Deliver a professional and effective first line HR Service to colleagues and managers

  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Partner to ensure the effective onboarding of new hires, ensuring all offers and contracts of employment are accurate and that all appropriate checks are completed for new joiners

  • Ensure records and on-line filing of records is in line with GDPR

  • Coordinate employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance and performance related matters

Experience required:

  • Use of HR & Payroll systems for data entry/employee management

  • Working within a service delivery centre preferably within a HR environment

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders verbally and in writing

  • Enthusiastic and positive approach to building relationships with stakeholders
