Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Charity based in South West London, who are recruiting for a HR Administrator on a 7 month contract. The position is due to start in July. The salary is £28,000-£30,000 per annum or if temporary the hourly rate of pay will be up for negotiation based on experience.

The ideal candidate must have experience of providing effective and comprehensive HR administrative assistance to support HR procedures and processes.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR enquiries from staff and providing initial guidance or referral to the HR Manager

  • Leading on HR Administration, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities and processes run accordingly

  • Monitoring the HR/Recruitment inboxes, acting as the first point of contact for queries and responding as required

  • Supporting the recruitment process and coordinating the preparation and processing of documentation for advertising, short-listing and interviewing, working with recruiting managers

  • Preparing documentation for appointments including letter of appointment, contracts, job description, right to work checks, references, induction documentation and other vetting checks in accordance with safeguarding requirements

  • Assisting in payroll preparation by providing relevant data on contractual variations including contractual benefits, sickness absence, new starters, leavers and unpaid leave

Experience required:

  • Experience providing HR administrative support to a team

  • Working in a busy work environment

  • Ability to coordinate recruitment processes

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to display high level of confidentiality and work appropriately with sensitive information

  • Ability to prioritise workload conflicting demands and work efficiently, accurately and calmly under pressure

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders

  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent organisational skills

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
