Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a large Housing Association near in Bristol, who are recruiting for a Housing Support Co-ordinator on a temporary three-month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £18 via an Umbrella Company.
The ideal candidate will have supported vulnerable clients in supported accommodation, have a Enhanced DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Housing Support duties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Supporting clients in an office setting, or in their temporary accommodation (based next to the office), to maintain their tenancies
Signposting client queries to the appropriate external agency when further support is required
Drafting and tailoring support plans and risk assessments
Offering with welfare and benefits advice as well as giving support with general money management and low-level rent arrears
Keeping client records and case notes up to date, making contact with clients fortnightly
Completing block inspections on the temporary accommodation (very local) monthly
Encouraging involvement in social activities, promoting inclusion with society
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and management
Financial management and budgeting advice
Compliance and due diligence
Working hours:
37.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm or 8am – 4pm
