Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Housing Officer on a permanent basis.
This will be a part-time position based around South Yorkshire, working 21 hours per week and will be home based with travel around the patch with a pro rota salary of £20,039.40 per annum + car allowance.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role, have access to their own vehicle and an enhanced DBS.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assisting vulnerable clients with general housing management issues, such as ASB queries, tenancy management and income support
Monitoring and managing rent accounts, ensuring arrears are addressed in line with organisation procedures up to 100 properties
Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a co -produced planned programme of support
Assisting individuals to identify and access appropriate move on accommodation
Assessing the support needs and risks of individuals, with mid-high level of safeguarding in line with the organisation support delivery and risk management procedures
Working in partnership with external agencies to facilitate the effective delivery of support and improve outcomes for those receiving our services
Delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice to individuals to ensure income maximisation
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of housing management policies and procedures
Experience delivering income management
Ability to build strong and positive working relationships/partnerships
