Job description

Our client, based in Cambridgeshire, is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a three-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £24.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company, dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a generic Housing Officer, hold a Basic DBS dated within the last year and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a patch of 500-600 properties completing tenancy management duties, dealing with cases of ASB and ensuring safeguarding is adhered to

  • Completing tenancy audits and reviews and taking the appropriate follow up action

  • Carrying out visits to patch regularly and conducting estate walkabouts

  • Completing sign ups using the suitability assessment and affordability system

  • Dealing with all cases of low level ASB including noise and nuisance complaints

  • Dealing with rent arrears cases and completing the rents process from start to finish

  • Following procedures and maintaining clear, concise records

  • Attending court when required for rent and ASB cases

Experience required:

  • Attending court due to rent arrears and ASB

  • Managing a patch of properties, conducting estate walk abouts

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Completing tenancy audits

  • Managing safeguarding issues

  • Following procedures and collating records

Working hours

  • 37.00 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00 pm
