Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Wiltshire, who are recruiting for an Housing and Income Officer on a temporary 12-week contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go permanent. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £19.00 via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have an Enhanced DBS certificate within 3 years, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Housing and Income duties. Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Provide advice on housing and other welfare benefits to tenants, assisting them in maximising income and benefit entitlement
Deal with all housing benefit overpayment issues liaising with the Local Authority when necessary
Inform the housing benefit department of cases where rent accounts have been terminated to prevent overpayments
Complete generic tenancy management duties such as property inspections and health and safety checks
Complete new tenancy sign-ups as and when required
Ensure a swift void turnaround service
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with vulnerable tenants within housing
Working hours:
40 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm
