Job description

We are currently partnering with a reputable Social Housing Association based in Wiltshire, who are recruiting for a Head of Compliance to join their team on an 18 month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC).

This is a full-time position with a salary band of £76,650 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Overseeing a Business As Usual approach to the ‘Big 6’ areas of compliance; Fire, LOLER, M+E, Water, Asbestos, Gas

  • Creating reports for the board and senior management, and providing detailed presentations based on the status of the Association’s property compliance, as well as providing reassurance on their property compliance

  • Playing an active role In the procurement of a Fire Compartmentation project, including liaising with contractors and analysing their proposals

  • Procuring new contracts across the big 6, making a total of roughly 60 contracts at any one time, ensuring these are providing value for money and operating within budget

  • Directly line managing Administration Operation and Performance Manager, interrogating the data for the team and the wider department, and map process findings

  • Overseeing the vehicle fleet and the fleet management, and create a long term plan to procure and implement Electric vehicles

  • Utilising a variety of systems including MS Excel and Power BI as to display and analyse data relating to property compliance and asset management

  • Playing an active role in the development of an asset management process in light of Awaab’s law and HHSRS

Requirements:

  • Excellent contract management skills and experience

  • Experience managing property compliance

  • Very strong data experience and ability to interrogate and report on asset data to influence future works decisions

  • Able to deliver projects on time and within budget

  • Previous line management experience
