We are currently partnering with a Local Authority based in London, who are recruiting for a Democratic Services Officer to join their growing team on a temporary basis

This role has a negotiable rate and is looking to start immediately

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Servicing the allotted committees, panels and bodies to ensure that all meetings comply with relevant legislation, council constitution, practices and procedures

• Contribute to the effective management and development of meeting work programmes and agenda planning, including managing the planning and delivery of work programmes, workloads and forwards plans

• Compile agenda reports, minutes and notes and distribute to stake holders in a timely manner

• Assist in the development of project work, working with colleagues to provide information and feedback

• Keep abreast of development in Local Government administrative law and practice, driving continuous improvement in decision making process

Experience required:

• Experience required in Local Government

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Minute taking

• Complex diary management

• Agenda planning, co-ordination monitoring

Working hours:

• 37.5 hours per week
